Entry & registration

What are the race distances of Run4Geelong?

Run4Geelong offers a 12km, 6km & 1km course. Click here to view the course information and distances.

How do I enter the event?

Can I bring my dog along?

No dogs are permitted on the course.

When do entries close?

Entries are open until 15 minutes prior to race start. We encourage you to enter as early as possible to avoid delay. Please note an increased entry fee will apply on the day.

I have a toddler in a pram, do I need to register them?

We welcome toddlers in prams in the 6km event. All participants need to be registered for safety reasons. All participants will receive a Run4Geelong T-Shirt

I have registered but am now unable to attend, can I get a refund on my entry?

As 100% of the entry fee goes directly to Barwon Health, we do not offer refunds if you are unable to attend. 

 

I have registered but am now unable to attend, can I transfer my registration to another person?

Unfortunately, registrations are non-transferable.

Schools

I would like to register my school, how do I do this?

Set up your school group in the registration system. Once set up,  you can share the School link so students can enter direct. Alternatively, students will be able to search this when registering to link their entry. The schools with the most entries within their team will win a $750 sporting equipment voucher! 

 

I am part of a school group, I forgot to add my school?

Please email our team at Register Now [email protected] with your details and we will get this updated

If I am part of a school, do I need to wear my school uniform?

No uniform is required.

Corporates

I would like to register my workplace, what is the best way?

Set up your Corporate group in the registration system. Once set up,  you can share the company link so participants can enter direct. 

 

Is there a corporate challenge?

Yes! All companies registered within the event will go into the draw to win an exclusive morning tea at your office with a Barwon Health specialist presenting about a topic of your choice – ie Mental Health, Men’s Health, Heart Health etc. 

 

Fundraise

What is Run4Geelong supporting?

Run4Geelong is supporting Barwon Health service – 100% funds raised will be donated to our/your local health service.

You may nominate to support various causes within our health service:

  • Mental Health
  • Andrew Love Cancer Centre
  • Women’s & Children’s Health
  • Care in the Community &
  • Our Hospital

I would like to fundraise – how do I do this?

Event T-Shirt & Race PACK

When will I get my event t-shirt?

T-shirts will be available for collection at event registration on Friday 17th and Saturday 16th – please select your tee size carefully as this is what will be allocated to you. More details are HERE

 

Can I change my event t-shirt?

When registering, please select your T-Shirt to your preferred size. As soon as the sizing chart has been released, you will will have a short window in which to amend the chosen size if necessary.

Will my race bib be posted?

You can select “Pick Up” and you will be advised the location to collect your race bib and T-Shirt at no charge OR you can select “Post out my Race Pack” (you will be charged a fee of $7) and you will be posted out your race bib. You will still collect your race T-Shirt from our registration centres.

Where can I pick up my race bib?

I have misplaced my race plate, what do I do?

Please call back to event registration to arrange another. Please note a fee of $5 will apply to replace.

Can someone else collect my race pack?

Yes – but please make sure this is communicated to the person that you are collecting for to avoid any confusion

What will my race pack include?

Your race pack will include –

  • 1km kids run – race bib, 4 pins
  • 6km walk – race bib with timing chip, 4 pins
  • 6km run – race bib with timing chip, 4 pins
  • 12km run – race bib with timing chip, 4 pins

Where does my race bib go?

Your race bib is pinned to the front of your shirt.

I have collected my race kit, what do I do now?

You are ready to go! Pin your race bib to the front of your top and have fun!

Where is my timing chip?

The timing chip will be on the back of your race bib if you are participating in the short and medium running events plus the 6km walk.

On the Day

Can I enter on the day?

Will bag storage be available for participants?

Yes – bag storage is available for all participants. Please remember to clearly label your bag and use the bag tag from your race bib.

Note: Organisers are not responsible for lost items and we advise you to keep money and valuables with you at all times. Items are left at bag collection at your own risk.

Can I bring? Can I wear?

Can I wear earphones?

We do not encourage participants to wear earphones for safety reasons.

Can I bring my pram?

Yes – prams are welcome! Please note all participants must be registered.

Can I ride my bike?

Bikes are not allowed on the course.

Can I ride my scooter?

Scooters are not allowed on the course.

Race Results

Where will my results be able to be viewed after the event?

The running event results will be displayed here on this site post the event and also be published in The Geelong Advertiser on 18th November.
